Trento Hotel Accademia

I and visiting friends have stayed here off and on over the last 20 years. Rooms are fine and simple, although recently ours (303) had a funky smell when we arrived that seemed to come from the carpet, but perhaps it was just the vinegar they use to wash sheets. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and the TV was very small. The walls were incredibly thin and we were awoken every morning by our neighbors talking at loud volume. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is great. I will probably stay here again due to location, but it is not a 4-star hotel IMHO.

The location is good, bang in the centre of Trento. The room was quiet and the breakfast quite good. Staff was attentive too, if not overly friendly. However, the room decor is very plain, and the room size quite minimal - thus, this is by no means a 4-star (!!) hotel as they claim, but rather a **+ or at best a *** one; this reflects on the price-quality ratio assessment. Also, wifi reception was very poor at the end of the corridor wher our room (220) was. I'd stay here again, but it would not be my first choice.

Hotel Accademia didn't issue the necessary papers for my rented Auto at the right time, and because of that I received fines. I got it because of the indifference of the Hotel Accademia employees. I announced to them every time I went out and entered their hotel, being aware that I am in a foreign country and I need to be guided by them every time I use the rented car into the Hotel area.

L'Albergo Accademia is a beautifull, well situated hotel. We stayed in one of the suites which was simply amazing. The room/s where spacious and clean with a bath that had its own multifunctional “shower room”! The suite had a big roof terrace right above the roofs of Trento. A down point though is the fact, that the hotels droning air-conditioning sits up on the terrace as well. So you’ll find yourself spending considerable less time up there then you might like. The hotels breakfast is rather disappointing. All you get is one kind of supermarket chees and ham, some rolls, brioche, juice, coffee, tea and the usual hotel-size jams and marmalades. While enjoying your breakfast you’ll also have a great view of the kitchen, where you can watch the service personnel doing the dishes while you eat. A breakfast you’d expect in a 2 or 3-start hotel but not in a hotel of this price category! All in all though, a wonderful place to stay, especially if you can get a discount for the rooms.
